My Olympic Mascot

Today we made our own Olympic mascot using sumo paint and pixlr. Our class drew different mascot. The rings represent the Olympic games. My mascot represent the Rio Olympic. The name is called Rio.

The latest world wide crazy Pokemon Go has taken over the world for the last few weeks.The game is put out by Nintendo and is now played on mobile devices. The game has become the most search on Google games. The game is only live in New Zealand. Library Cat Allowed To Stay

A North Texas city has voted the cat to his job as a mascot of the city's public library.The council voted 3-0 to let Browser stay at the library for two weeks. 

The vote was taken without hearing from Browser's supporters who jammed the council chamber.  

On social media all supported of keeping Browser the job.

My Speech On Samoa

A few weeks ago Ruapotaka school started speeches. Lots of people decided to do different topics. For my speech I decided to talk about Samoa. I chose this topic because it was important to me and my family and because it is also my culture. My speech was 2 minutes and 38 seconds long. My best part of my speech was talking about the islands.

A Woman Wakes To A 5m Python in her bedroom!

A huge snake lived in the roof of an Australian home for 10 years. It has tried to move into the master bedroom. Trina Hibberd, from Mission Beach in Queensland woke up on Monday to find the 5.2 Python named Monty in her room. Monty managed to turn on a light and knock over a lamp before snake-catcher Dave Goodwin arrived.. It stretched from her lounge room to her bedroom. Dave Goodwin said ''the 40g snake was choking his arm to death''.

All Black vs Wales

The All Blacks have begun their 2016 season. Wales had been better in the first half leading 18-15. The first half try scorers for the All Blacks were Julian Savea and Waisake Naholo. The All Blacks played better in the second half scoring three late tries through Naholo. The New captain is Kieran Read and Nathan Harris.

Matariki

Matariki is the Maori New Year. Matariki means the eye of God. For  maori culture, Matariki is important. The Maori festival begins with the first rising star of Matariki. Matariki is a Maori name for the cluster of stars also known as pleiades.
