A Woman Wakes To A 5m Python in her bedroom!

5m pythonA huge snake lived in the roof of an Australian home for 10 years. It has tried to move into the master bedroom. Trina Hibberd, from Mission Beach in Queensland woke up on Monday to find the 5.2 Python named Monty in her room. Monty managed to turn on a light and knock over a lamp before snake-catcher Dave Goodwin arrived.. It stretched from her lounge room to her bedroom. Dave Goodwin said ''the 40g snake was choking his arm to death''.

All Black vs Wales

all black v walesThe All Blacks have begun their 2016 season. Wales had been better in the first half leading 18-15. The first half try scorers for the All Blacks were Julian Savea and Waisake Naholo. The All Blacks played better in the second half scoring three late tries through Naholo. The New captain is Kieran Read and Nathan Harris.

Matariki

Matariki is the Maori New Year. Matariki means the eye of God. For  maori culture, Matariki is important. The Maori festival begins with the first rising star of Matariki. Matariki is a Maori name for the cluster of stars also known as pleiades.

Samoan Language Week in New Zealand.

This Week is New Zealand Samoan Language Week and New Zealanders are being encouraged to learn a little of the pacific island's language. Samoan is the third most widely spoken language in New Zealand, behind English and Maori. 77,000 people said they spoke Samoan. 

Talofa lava - Hello 
Mālō le soifua - Hello
Tōfā soifua - Goodbye
Toe feiloa’i - See you later
Feiloa’i taeao - See you tomorrow
